Our part-exchange process is straightforward. All you need to do is enter your vehicle registration and mileage below, answer a couple of quick questions and we’ll then offer you a no-obligation valuation. It’s as simple as that.
If you choose to go ahead with your valuation and new vehicle purchase with Carzam, our friendly delivery team will perform an onsite valuation when they deliver your new car. Assuming that your existing vehicle meets our standards, we will then take your part-exchange away the very same day.

- Can I part exchange my car?
Yes we are happy to provide you with a valuation of your vehicle in part exchange for a purchase subject to it meeting the criteria set out in the purchase journey on our website. You'll need to declare the cars condition to get a valuation and we will check the car against this agreed condition during your handover appointment. - How much is my part exchange worth?
We want your buying experience to be as stress-free as possible so we will offer you the true trade value for your part exchange based on the latest market pricing. We sell most part exchanges at auction and simply aim to make back what we paid you and no less. If you prefer to sell your car privately then you may get more for it or we can offer you the current market value and take away the hassle.
- I've got a private reg, can I transfer it?
If you have a treasured plate on your part exchange then its easy to place this plate on retention through the DVLA and transfer it to your new vehicle once you receive the V5 for your new car in your name.
There’s no need to remove the physical number plates from the part exchange but you will need to contact the DVLA to place the private plate on retention for a small charge prior to Carzam collecting your part exchange.
We will send you all the details if this something you need to do when we call you to confirm your handover appointment.
- My part exchange has outstanding finance, what can I do?
No problem. We'll work with you to get an accurate settlement figure for your finance which will be taken into account when calculating the total cost of your purchase. Once collected we will then settle your finance for you.
- Will you collect my part exchange?
If we are delivering the car you have purchased then we will collect your part exchange at the same time. If you are collecting your purchased car from a Collection point then you will need to drive your part exchange to us for your handover appointment.

The vehicle may have very minor interior and exterior defects that require SMART repairs, i.e. minor scratches or dents.

WHAT IS 'GOOD' CONDITION?
The vehicle may have minor interior and exterior defects that require SMART repairs, i.e. minor scratches or dents plus up to 1 major or minor body shop repair to an individual panel or bumper.
Minor replacement parts may be required. The replacement of up to three minor internal or external trim parts (excluding panels) may also be required.

The replacement of significant internal or external trim parts (excluding panels but including up to one bumper) may also be required. It may have a combination of repairs including one replacement panel, but this will exclude structural panels such as roofs and quarter panels.

Vehicles in this class may be uneconomical to appraise due to extensive damage both from a damage and mechanical perspective.

You are the legal owner & have the V5C registered to your address for at least 6 months.
You wish to retain the registration number (personal plate)
